Who is Mone's Curvy Closet?
On May 19, 1987, a Diva was born! Although it took her many years to realize that she was a diva, she was meant to be somebody in life. Mone' (aka Cimone' Grinnage) was born on the Southside of Chicago, IL. Raised with two sister's and one brother by her HARD WORKING mother, Mone' was a different kind of kid. Very rebellious as a adolescent, she was simply trying to find who she was and be comfortable with it.
Grade school was confusing, high school was embarrassing, and college was barely non existent until later. In my younger adult years, life was truly an experience. Becoming a single mother at the age of 21, I wasn't ready or prepared for what I was about to endure. Somehow, someway I managed to put my big girl panties on and went to war with this thing called life.
In the midst of fighting with the world, (what it seemed like) I was still trying to find myself. With much thought, trials & error... it wasn't until October, 2011 that I realized what I was meant to do here on this earth. I started my first Plus Size organization called "Plus Size Barbies". Boy was I too excited! I never done anything like this before. It was definitely a new experience. As we grew and evolved more into an empowerment organization soon to be called, "The House of Barbs", I learned so much from these group of women. But, one of the most important lessons I learned being a CEO of an organization, was that I don't have to lead in order to do what I love to do... And that was to influence....
Formerly known as "Mone' The Mogul since 2016, in 2020 my brand was revamped and better known now as "Mone's Curvy Closet"! As a Plus Size Social Media Influencer building platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, & Snapchat...it is my duty to continue spreading love, positivity, and knowledge on how to be the best plus size YOU!
